VOLUNTEER TRAINING WORKSHOPS
In order to offer more flexibility to our volunteers, one day training sessions will now be held throughout the year. All volunteers are required to receive training relevant to the respective role undertaken at Breakaway. The training is divided into 5 modules.
Once you have decided to join the Breakaway Team, you will need to undergo various training and orientation sessions. Your training as a Breakaway volunteer will depend largely on which area you wish to work.
Volunteer Training Modules
In order to offer flexibility to our volunteers, training sessions will be held throughout the year. The training has been divided into 7 Modules and roles at Breakaway have been separated into 7 different groups.
Module 1: Breakaway Orientation
Module 2: Personal Care Workshop
Module 3: Companion Carer Workshop
Module 4: All Volunteers Working at Breakaway Camps
Module 5: All Volunteers Working at High Needs Camps
Module 6: All Volunteers working at Siblings Camps
Module 7: All Volunteers working at SMS Camps
