Please Note:
- Volunteers must be over 18 years of age
- No experience is required, as free training is provided
- Volunteers are needed on a part-time or full-time basis for the duration of our camps
- Volunteers must be willing to help fellow volunteers & campers, and be keen to work in a team environment
Volunteer Training Modules
In order to offer flexibility to our volunteers, training sessions will be held throughout the year. It is a requirement for all volunteers to have received training relevant to the respective role undertaken at Breakaway. The training has been divided into 7 Modules and roles at Breakaway have been separated into 7 different groups.
Module 1: Breakaway Orientation
Module 2: Personal Care Workshop
Module 3: Companion Carer Workshop for Breakaway Camps (adults)
Module 4: Compulsory Briefing for Volunteers at Breakaway Camps (adults)
Module 5: Compulsory Briefing for Volunteers at High Needs Camps
Module 6: Compulsory Briefing for Volunteers at Siblings Camps
Module 7: Compulsory Briefing for Volunteers at SMS Camps
